What is our “Hear, Learn, Keep, Do” Method?

When YHWH wants to teach mankind something, He follows a very specific method that I can copy in my homeschooling. First, YHWH clearly presents information. In this case, He used the things He had created, which can be seen by every person no matter where he lives, to make Himself plain to all people. The sun, moon, and stars are visible to all. The amazing capabilities of the human body are visible to all. The metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly… the water cycle… the fossil record — these are visible to all.

What are some ways you talk about the Torah all day long?

  2. Anne Elliott

During the chat today, we were discussing how much copywork to give to our children each day. We were saying, “A little shorter than the amount it turns into drudgery.” LOL! So short and often. One friend does one verse per year of age.

Another mom said, “Every child is different. My 12 year old does one verse at a time throughout the day. But some of my older ones sit for an hour or more.”

Donna wrote, “I’ve been growing in Torah for a few years but the idea of applying it to my homeschool and throughout my day is just beginning. Our family needs this so much! We are learning that just keeping Shabbat and the Feasts is not enough to make heart changes in our children. We really want them to desire YHVH. Thank you Anne for all the wonderful ideas!”

Here’s another comment: “All wonderful ideas! It appears as the day goes on, we continue to get busier and busier and it becomes more relaxed in our speaking of Him. So all the reminders of Him and His Creation are excellent to always be looking at!”

Going through all your videos, sometimes listening two times. I am learning so much and praying that God instills all this wisdom on my heart as we start preschool for five year strong-willed son, Jed. Thank you, Shalom and many blessing to your family.
