Remembering Hanukkah, by Kraig and Anne Elliott

This 72-page unit study will help you study out the historical and biblical significance of Hanukkah with your family.

Designed with 8 days of lessons, you can choose to do one study each day of Hanukkah, or you can simply incorporate the 8 lessons into your normal homeschooling day. We also recommend studying it alongside our Daniel’s Statue: Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome World History curriculum.

The 8 lessons use our Hear, Learn, Keep, Do method to help your children retain what they have learned and apply the biblical lessons to their lives. Lessons include

  • Daily readings from 1 and 2 Maccabees, as well as daily Bible readings
  • Scripture memory, with fun activities to help retain what is memorized
  • Discussion questions
  • Extra sources from scholars and first-hand witnesses
  • Ideas to decorate for Hanukkah, as well as recipes, service activities, worksheets, games, music, and suggestions for making family memories

Activities are provided for all ages. If you’re not a homeschooling family, you can still enjoy and profit from this study!
