What ages is this course for?
This course is suitable for teens through adults. Many families take the course together.
Is this course live or pre-recorded?
The course is taught live on Zoom. There are 15 lessons, beginning January 5 and continuing, one per day (Monday through Friday) for three weeks. Replays are provided for every lesson.
What if I can’t attend live?
That’s okay. All lessons are recorded, and you will have access to the replays.
How long will I have access to the replays?
You will receive lifetime access to the lesson replays.
Where will the replays be hosted?
During the course, replay links will be emailed to you. After the course concludes, replays will be available in our private student library.
Will I be required to speak or read aloud on Zoom?
No. Participation is always optional. You are welcome to listen, read along, and participate at your comfort level.
Is this a grammar-heavy course?
No. The focus is on reading, pronunciation, and familiarity with Biblical Hebrew—not memorizing grammar rules.
Is there a workbook?
Yes. A printable student workbook is included with the course.
What Bible text is used?
Examples are drawn directly from the Hebrew Bible, emphasizing Genesis 1.

I’ve been using Foundations of Torah as a source text for a Bible study that I’ve been running for the past two years or so. All of the ladies in the group (some Torah-observant, some not) find it very helpful as a starting place to study the Torah portions. We really enjoy the author’s introduction to each portion and the extra links and resources included throughout. While this book is intended as a curriculum for parents and their children, it works very well for our group too! I highly recommend it for any Torah study!
