The book, Israel’s Feasts and Their Fullness by Batya Wooten. Value of $16.95.
“This feast book is like no other. It is truly unique in its perspectives. Acclaimed as the “best feast book ever,” in this new Expanded Edition, Israel’s Feasts and their Fullness offers even more prophetic insights!
In her delightful, penetrating style, Batya examines the feasts and shows how they relate to Israel’s reunion, redemption, and full restoration. She explains why Believers now feel led to celebrate the feasts, and how their celebrations relate to the latter days. Her astute observations bring encouragement, clarity and fresh insights at every turn.
Batya examines traditions that oppose Scripture, clarifies those that align with it, and outlines suggested feast guidelines. Most importantly, she encourages us to celebrate our Messiah with joy and freedom in the power of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) – yet with respect for the eternal truths of the Torah (the Law) as well as the honorable teachings of Judaism.”

We are very new to the feasts, so we do our best to learn about their significance as we approach each one, and really focus on the importance of each meaning attached to each moedim, as well as the meaning behind purim and hanukkah, those we observe in remembrance.

Our favorite Feast is Sukkot, and we are blessed to be connected with a great Torah group, one family has a huge property a couple hours from us and hosts a Sukkot gathering there. We’re counting down the days to the Time of Our Rejoicing!

We love the Feasts. For Rosh HaShana everyone will be writing their sins on rocks so that we can throw them into the reservoir. It helps us get ready for Yom Kippur. My kids work in the media department at our synagogue and will be quite busy getting ready for the conference that follows. And for Sukkot – THIS year we will be building a sukkah and having our meals out under the open heavens. Good times!
Miriam
We LOVE celebrating the feasts! We decorate the house, play lots of games, and have really good food…my Jewish mother (foster) taught me to make her family recipes and now even though she has gone on, the legacy will remain!

Oh, I so want this!!! We are so new to celebrating the feasts, that every year has been different. It has been culture shock for us as we came from the Sunday church never even knowing about the feasts. We have two other families that are like minded and we are hoping to celebrate more with them this next year. I just love the picture of Jesus in the feasts!! Feast of Tabernacles is fun being with others from our church family, but my favorite is probably Passover-Pentecost because of the meaning behind it.
Kristie

this has been our 10th year keeping feasts/torah, and each year has been a blessing! each year we incorporate more activities for the children (our oldest is 7 yrs old). each year has been different, tailored differently if we had issues like being pregnant, etc. but no matter the circumstance, it is wonderful to be able to do all we can do to please Yahweh, halleluYah!
each year we go over and over the feasts again in preparation for them, and learn/memorize scriptures, etc.
we have kept some traditions, but mainly do what we feel works for our family 🙂
